Join a Naturalist for a series of fall birding hikes around the county. Will go over birding basics, discuss what birds will be spotted, and then hit the trails. Bird watching is for everyone, and it helps build community connection! So, no matter your experience or age these hikes are for all to enjoy.

Ham Marsh is a unique wildlife area just North of Independence. It consists mainly of prairie and wetland. During the breeding season birds such as Sandhill Cranes, Bobolink, Sedge Wren, and Henslow Sparrows call this place home. But what is here during the non-breeding season? Well you will have to come along on the adventure to find out!

All hikes will be the first Tuesday of the month at 8:30 A.M. from October to December. We will meet at the park.
