Timber Management Walk

Event Summary

Buchanan County Conservation Board manages a few different timbers with Jakway being the largest.  Park Ranger Mike Van Raden will lead a timber walk at Jakway Forest.  The forest has been strategically managed over the past 40 years and Mike will be able to talk about many of the woodland management practices.    The group will travel on a trail making stops periodically throughout the walk.  Please be sure to dress for the weather and have appropriate footwear.
