The shelter house at Camp Comfort is a 20'x60' open shelter with electrical outlets and a double sided fireplace in the center. 

The shelter is located alongside Camp Comfort Road and the Shell Rock River.

A playground, campground and modern restroom/shower facilities are available onsite.

This shelter is available for online reservations. If it is not reserved, it will be available on a first-come-first-served basis.

River access for fishing and boats are available as well.



Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 08:00 AM and check-out is before 10:30 PM.

The rental fee for Wild Bergamot Shelter is $30/day


Hours of Operation & Seasons

Butler County Shelters are open for reservations and use May 1 through October 15 depending on weather conditions.

Shelters may open before May 1 and remain open after October 15 given favorable ground and weather conditions. Showers, restrooms and running water may also be turned on later than May 1 or off before October 15 to keep pipes from freezing.

Butler County Parks are closed to through traffic between 10:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. daily.

Shelter is available 8:00 AM - 10:30 PM


Permits

Persons bringing kegged alcoholic beverages into Butler County Parks must obtain a permit and pay a damage deposit with the Butler County Conservation Board.
