    • • By your agreement with these terms and conditions, you agree that you have read and understand the CANCELLATION and REFUND POLICIES concerning this reservation, and that you have also read and understand the FACILITY CONTRACT RULES information.

    Rental Contract Agreement

    Butler CCB Park Shelter Rental Agreement and Rules:

    1.       I agree to leave the shelter in the same condition as found

    2.       I agree to clean up what debris and litter may be deposited in and around the shelter by my group.

    3.       I understand the park has a carry in – carry out trash policy, and that renters are required to take their trash with them. Do not burn in the fireplace or fire pits.

    4.       I agree to be responsible for any damage done to the property within the park by myself or my guests.

    5.       I agree to abide by the rules and regulations set by the Butler County Conservation Board and all laws of the State of Iowa.

    6.       Rental hours are 8:00 AM to 10:30 PM, and all unregistered guests must vacate the park by 10:30 PM

    7.       Fireworks are prohibited in all Butler CCB Parks

    8.       Beer in a keg or any alcoholic container over 1 Liter in size will require a separate keg/alcohol permit. Call the Butler CCB office to get more information (319-346-6551).

    9.       I agree that my guests and I will park in designated parking areas only.

    10.  I understand that smoking is prohibited in all Butler CCB buildings, shelters and lodges.

    11.  I understand that pets must be leashed at all times, and I also agree to clean up after my pet.

    12.  Persons shall not remove, destroy or injure any animal, plant or fungus in the park.

    13.  I understand the fireplace/pit may be used respectfully, and I agree to put out the fire before leaving the facility.

    By your agreement with these terms and conditions, you represent that you are 21 years or older, you will be present during your rental, and you are authorized to make the reservation on behalf of the group you have listed. You further agree to assume full responsibility for the acts, negligence, or omission of your group members while utilizing said facilities.

    Fees

                   Online reservations can be made up to one year in advance. NO REFUNDS for cancellations will be given.

                   On-line reservations are $30 per shelter per day plus a $4.00 processing fee added at checkout. Reservations must be made at least 7 days in advance.

                   If a reservable shelter is not reserved, it will be available for use on a first-come, first-served basis.

    CLOSURES

    -            “Off – season”: The campgrounds and shelters may be opened prior to May 1 and remain open past October 15 pending favorable weather and ground conditions. Water and modern restrooms/shower facilities may be closed to prevent freezing even though the campground and shelters may remain open. Online reservations will not be taken for the “off-season” period, at which time, shelter renters will need to reserve shelters by calling the Butler CCB Office at 319-346-6551 to check availability.

    Cancellation Policy

    Shelter Cancellation Policy

    Shelter reservations are non-refundable. 

    If cancellation occurs, reservation will be considered a donation to the Butler County Conservation Board. Please call the Butler CCB office at 319-346-6551 Monday through Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM to cancel. Should you decide to CANCEL your reservation, there are NO REFUNDS. However, if you contact the Butler CCB office at least 15 days before your reservation, you will be provided with a promotional code to use for a future online reservation within the season of the original reservation (limited to one time). If you contact us less than 15 days before your reservation, you will forfeit 100% of your reservation and will not be allowed to reschedule.

                   

    NO REFUND: Please understand that at the time of booking your reservation, you immediately prohibit other people from reserving and utilizing this facility – they therefore go elsewhere to locate a shelter for that date.                

    Youth Group Rules

    Contact the Butler County Conservation Board for youth group rates and rules.

    Refund Policy

    NO REFUNDS for cancellations will be given.  

    However, if you contact the Butler CCB office at least 15 days before your reservation, you will be provided a promotional code to use for a future online reservation within the same season of the original reservation (limited to one time). If you contact us less than 15 days before your reservation, you will forfeit 100% of your reservation and will not be allowed to reschedule.               

    At this time, the only situations that may allow for a refund are as follows:

         1. The National Weather Service has issued severe weather conditions and advised against travel

         2. Butler CCB is unable to provide this facility in operable condition for the date(s) of your

              Reservation 

    The shelter house at Camp Comfort is a 20'x60' open shelter with electrical outlets and a double sided fireplace in the center. 

    The shelter is located alongside Camp Comfort Road and the Shell Rock River.

    A playground, campground and modern restroom/shower facilities are available onsite.

    This shelter is available for online reservations. If it is not reserved, it will be available on a first-come-first-served basis.

    River access for fishing and boats are available as well.


    Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 08:00 AM and check-out is before 10:30 PM.

    Camp Comfort has an open shelter with a two-sided fireplace and electricity overlooking the Shell Rock River.

    Easy access to river fishing, campground, restrooms, playground, and boat ramps.

    The rental fee for Wild Bergamot Shelter is $30/day

    Hours of Operation & Seasons

    Butler County Shelters are open for reservations and use May 1 through October 15 depending on weather conditions.

    Shelters may open before May 1 and remain open after October 15 given favorable ground and weather conditions. Showers, restrooms and running water may also be turned on later than May 1 or off before October 15 to keep pipes from freezing.

    Butler County Parks are closed to through traffic between 10:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. daily.

    Permits

    Persons bringing kegged alcoholic beverages into Butler County Parks must obtain a permit and pay a damage deposit with the Butler County Conservation Board.
