Lighted Night Ski

Event Summary

It is time for the Annual Lighted Night Ski with the Butler County Conservation Board!

The Night Ski will take place at Heery Woods Park on the trails near the Allan and Fayette Meyer Nature Center from 6 to 9 PM.

Meet at the nature center to gather your ski equipment and then head out for a trip or more along the groomed and candle-lit trails. Dress for the weather and bring a headlamp if you have one.

A limited number of skis are available for participants to borrow, and you can reserve your boot size at mycountyparks.com or by calling 319-346-6551. Remaining equipment will be available on a first-come basis. You are also welcome to bring your own equipment if you have it. Just make sure we know the shoe size (kids, youth, men, women...) and have a number to reach you if we have any questions.

This event is free, but we do ask that you bring a canned good to be added to the hobo stew served at the event.

After your ski, you can enjoy a fire, treats and stew in the lodge.
