Osborne Nature Center

Come Saturday, March 13th, at 10:00 a.m. to build a bluebird house and learn how to care for the bluebirds that will soon be living in it.  All participants will take their completed birdhouses home.  Children must be accompanied by an adult during this fun family activity.

The Osborne Center monitors over eighty bluebird houses. This information helps document the bluebird population throughout the county. Nest boxes have played a crucial role in the recovery of Eastern Bluebirds. Come build your own bluebird house and then learn how to care for the bluebirds that will soon be living in it.  Please remember to bring a drill if you have one.

Class size is limited to allow for social distancing, so please register for the event at www.claytoncountyconservation.org. For more information, call 245-1516. Participants are encouraged to wear masks and practice social distancing while attending. The Osborne Center is located on Highway 13, five miles south of Elkader.
