Escape to the secluded Back Valley pack‑in campsites at Eden Valley Refuge, nestled deep within the park’s trail system. These backcountry sites are reached by a half‑mile hike from the Back Valley trailhead.

A fire ring/grill, picnic table, pit latrine, and refuse bin are provided to ensure a comfortable, off‑grid stay. Be sure to bring all your gear, including water, as there's no potable water on site.

While the pack‑in sites are primitive, modern amenities aren’t far away. Guests can access the campgrounds water hydrants and shower building (seasonal) or utilize the Nature Center's temperature-controlled shower house.

Up to three tents or 6 occupants are allowed per site.

Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 03:00 PM and check-out is before 01:00 PM.

Location

The pack-in sites are located a half mile from the main trailhead on the north side of Bear Creek, off the county roadway. Please see the park map for location of the primitive pack-in camping area.
