Dayton Stagecoach Inn

 Video Historic Dayton Stagecoach Inn

Located along the old Des Moines to Fort Dodge stagecoach route, the Dayton Stagecoach Inn was built in 1868 and used as a combination inn, bar and private home. It is located on 10 acres of secluded land that includes 150 year old oaks and some limited access to Beaver Creek. It is only a few minutes drive to the High Trestle or Raccoon River Valley trails. The historic Dayton Stagecoach Inn has a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room, a sitting/living room on each floor and a bathroom with an ADA shower on both levels. Outside there is a wooden deck, outdoor fire ring and picnic area. The Inn can sleep up to 9 people with 3 separate bedrooms. The Coachman Room on the first level has a single bed. The Inn Keeper Room on the second level has queen bed. The Bunk Room on the second floor can sleep 6 with 2 bunk beds, each featuring a lower double bed. Please note: The historic thick brick walls precluded the installation of wheelchair accessible doors.
