    • I understand the minimum age to reserve a campsite is 21.
    • I understand pets must be leashed outside at all times.

    Rental Contract Agreement

    • Campsite camping is allowed for a period no longer than 14 days in a 30 consecutive day period, per Iowa Chapter 25.
    • Reservations must be made at least 14 days in advance.
    • 2 nights is the minimum for a reservation.
    • Holiday weekends require a 3-night minimum stay.
    • Campsite check-in is 4:00pm. Check-out is 3:00pm.
    • Each electrical hook-up campsite may have one additional tent, maximum 8ft x10ft, for immediate family only (spouses, parents or legal guardians, domestic partners, dependent children, and grandparents).
    • Maximum number of people on one campsite is six, except for:
         Families that exceed six people, if all members are immediate family and cannot logically be split into two campsites.
         Chaperoned, organized youth groups.
    • Trash must be removed by campers upon departure.
    • Pets are prohibited inside buildings. Pets must remain on a leash, no longer than 6 feet long, while outside at all times. Please dispose of pet waste.
    • DCCB reserves the right to enter facilities for maintenance or security problems.
    • All rules and regulations of the DCCB and State of Iowa apply.

    Site 10 at Sportsman Park is available for reservation year-round. This site measures 45 feet long x 13 feet wide.

    Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 04:00 PM and check-out is before 03:00 PM.

    In Dawson, follow Railroad Ave east approximately ¾ mile.
    Railroad Ave becomes 130th St as it curves north.
    In about ¼ mile, the road curves east again. At that bend, the entrance gate is on the left.

    Hours of Operation & Seasons

    • Sportsman Park campsites are available for rent year-round. Check-in is at 4:00pm. Check-out is at 3:00pm.
      • May - October, Sportsman Park is open 8am-10pm. Shower house and all restrooms are open.
      • November - April, Sportsman Park is open 8am-5pm. Shower house is closed, restrooms at lodge are open to the public.
