Puhl Wildlife Refuge is a 35-acre natural area located northeast of Marble Rock. Managed as a wildlife refuge, the property is closed to hunting and provides a protected setting where birds, mammals, insects, and native plants can thrive with minimal disturbance.

The refuge features mature woodland, dense underbrush, standing dead trees, decaying logs, vines, and seasonal wildflowers. These natural features provide important nesting sites, food, shelter, and cover for a wide variety of wildlife. Hikers and birdwatchers are welcome to explore the area, although there is no established trail system. Visitors can experience changing scenery throughout the year, from spring wildflowers and summer vegetation to blooming asters, seed-producing plants, and colorful fall foliage.
