Junior Naturalist Programs

Event Summary
Join our Hamilton County Naturalist at the various parks for this Junior Naturalist Series of three family programs. The statewide Junior Naturalist Program focuses on getting kids 6-18 to interact and connect to nature. This educational program promotes awareness of the natural and cultural resources of Iowa. The Junior Naturalist Program is supported by both the Iowa State Parks and the Iowa County Conservation Board System. Parents are required to stay with and supervise their kids as we do the activities together. This program will focus on younger kids but older kids are welcome to attend. If the kids attend three public programs and do two activities with their parents outdoors they will receive a Junior Naturalist patch. Bring your own sack lunch along and have a picnic with everyone who attends. Questions Contact John Laird at 515-297-0423. No Registration Required just show up. Three Program Schedule listed below.
