Build Your Own Rain Barrel Workshop

Event Summary

You can become a rain water conservationist by creating your own rain barrel for home use. We will have a presentation at the Hamilton County Conservation Office on the benefits of having a rain barrel in your yard. We will assemble the rain barrels in the shop after the presentation. Holes will be pre drilled to speed up your assembly time. All supplies needed will be provided but we will have to share the hand tools provided. We will team up and help each other assemble the rain barrels together. We will be converting 55-gallon food grade barrels to rain barrels by inserting a top water screen and lower side water spicket only. You can customize your barrel more at home on your own afterwards. There is a 20 person only limit for the 20 rain barrels that will be assembled. This workshop is for people ages 18 and above.
