Dutch Oven Gathering Potluck
JUN 17 2026 5:00 PM
Event Summary
We are having a Dutch Oven Gathering Potluck for anyone who enjoys cooking outdoors with a Dutch oven. Campfire cooking was a life skill the pioneers experienced to survive and Dutch oven cooking is a popular hobby today. Maybe you have always wanted to learn how to cook with a Dutch oven? Join our Hamilton County Naturalist at the Outback Area behind our Conservation Office as we will cook over campfires or use charcoal to make a potluck meal. We will enjoy the meal outside in lawn chairs or at tables in the office display room. Remember to bring your lawn chair, Dutch oven, cookware, food to cook, and recipes to share with others. We will have some recipes to share and can make copies of your recipes to share. We will have some paper plates, and plasticware but feel free to bring your own plates and silverware to our potluck. Limited to the first 60 people who register. Register at www.mycountyparks.com Questions contact John Laird at 515-297-0423
