Skillet Creek Indian Mounds Night Hike

Event Summary

Join us for a night hike to the Skillet Creek Indian Mounds along the Des Moines River as we walk through the autumn leaves.

Enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of the night as we walk this moderately to difficult hiking path up the hillside.

Learn the area history and observe the burial and ceremonial mounds on the hill top.

This program is for all ages of people who enjoy hiking at night in the woods.

Feel free to bring a flashlight as there is a limited number of flashlights provided. We will have red covers to place over the flashlights before we hike up the trail.

This is a joint program between Webster and Hamilton County Conservation Boards.
