Night Calls / Night Hike

Event Summary

We will hike the park trails and discuss nocturnal animals such as owls, coyotes, and even the illusive sasquatch. We hope to have a sasquatch replica photo opportunity available for you at the night hike. We will stop and try to call some animals of the night and see if we get any responses. We will discuss adaptations that nocturnal animals have that allow them to be active at night. We will hike a big loop starting at the Woodland Trail to the waterfalls and return on the Boone River Bike Trail ending back at Shelter 2. Feel free to bring your own flashlight with a red cover.
