Fireflies & Starry Night Skies

Event Summary

Enjoy a summer night at at the beach at Briggs Woods Park.

We will catch fireflies, observe them in jars, and release them when done.

We will discuss the fireflies bioluminescence and what it is signaling to others.

Join our county naturalist in a short presentation on lightning bugs and summer star constellations.

Feel free to bring a flashlight and a jar.  We will have red covers available for use.
