Junior Naturalist Program

Event Summary

We will meet at the Maple Picnic Shelter for this program. This program is for kids (4-16) and help will connect kids to nature by interacting with the natural resources in some way. We will go on a Nature Walk and Scavenger Hunt together for the first activity. After the hike we will fish at the lake with the Naturalist and end with a sack lunch. Remember to bring your own sack lunch. A limited supply of fishing poles and worms will be available so feel free to bring  your own fishing pole and bait. Come and learn how to earn your Junior Naturalist Patch and Certificate. The Junior Naturalist Program is supported by  the Iowa County Conservation Board System and the Iowa State Parks. Parents are required to stay with their children at this program with the Naturalist. Bring a sack lunch to have a picnic lunch afterwards with the group.
