Daisy Long Memorial Park/Bates Addition
Daisy Long Memorial Park is located exactly one mile east of Union, Iowa. As on of Hardin County's most treasured parks, this is the original site of the first water powered grist mill built in 1856 with some of the old foundation still remaining.

Daisy Long Park is located at 33671-D65, Union, Iowa, which is one mile east of Union, turn left on D65, 1/8th of a mile.
Features
Daisy Long Memorial Park Cabin:
The cabin's kitchen features updated appliances such as a refrigerator, microwave, toaster and an electric coffee maker. Plenty of cabinet space is available and a dining table for four is provided. Two full sized beds are available, bedding is not provided. Both men and women's restroom and shower facilities are available in the park just to the north of the cabin. This unique area offers camping, fishing, and picnicking. Dogs are allowed at campsites and within the park, but must remain leashed; dogs are not allowed in the cabin. Daisy Long Memorial Park is a great family area.This site is also marked as one of many historical sites in Hardin County. A Kiosk depicting the history of the Grist Mill was built in 2003. It features 30 electrical outlets for 30 campers. A volley ball court is also available
A fully accessible RV/Camper septic dumb station is located within the park.
