Perched along the iconic Lincoln Highway with breathtaking views of the Loess Hills, this unique attraction takes you on a journey back to the 1800s. Stroll through a charming pioneer village featuring an authentic log cabin, old-time general store, blacksmith shop, and a classic one-room schoolhouse. You can even see the original Lincoln Highway marker, still in its original spot!
Step inside our expansive museum buildings, where the past comes alive through captivating exhibits showcasing agriculture history, Native American artifacts, military displays, vintage medical and dental tools, and a peddler’s wagon brimming with items from the era.
Take a stroll along our one-mile interactive walking trail—perfect for stretching your legs and sparking your curiosity. And yes, your furry friends are welcome too.
The Welcome Center is home to Harrison County’s Freedom Rock. Each county’s rock is tailored to reflect local heroes—from Medal of Honor recipients to WWII nurses to community members who served. This is a powerful, living tribute to U.S. veterans.
