The Ida County Conservation Center is a nature center located in Moorehead Park. The center features a children's activity corner, an outdoor classroom, the Lipton Bird Room and wildlife viewing area, numerous bird, fish, and mammal mounts, a large deck, and kitchenette. The Conservation Center is the home base for all environmental education programs and available for rentals. The Conservation Center is regularly rented for graduation parties, receptions, bridal showers, baby showers, family reunions, and birthday parties.

Located in Moorehead Park, Ida Grove on the Southeast side of Moorehead Lake.

Fees

Hours of Operation & Seasons

Open year round. Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and select weekends. The Conservation Center is closed on holidays.

Permits

No kegs or hard alcohol is permitted. Only canned or bottled beer and wine is allowed for rentals.
