Friends of JCC



Friends of Jackson County Conservation brings people together through educational and recreational opportunities in partnership with the Jackson County Conservation Board and inspires people to understand and care for our environment. 

Members serve as volunteers for various programs and projects as well as raise funds for exhibits, conservation related projects, educational materials for programs and more.

Meetings
Friends of Jackson County Conservation members meet quarterly to discuss projects and events. All are welcome at the meetings.
2nd Tuesday of January, April, June and October at 6:00 pm.
A potluck is held before each meeting at 5:30 pm for social time. Tableware and drinks are provided; bring a dish to share. 


Become a Member
We are always looking for new voices in our community! Perks include free group tours, 10% discount in the gift shop, free rental on select equipment, and much more. Check out our Membership Brochure to learn more. 

Volunteer for us

Donations
As a 501(c)3, your donation is tax deductible. Donations can be sent to 18670 63rd Street Maquoketa, IA 52060. You may indicate what you'd like your money to go towards or leave it as unrestricted and our group will determine the best place for the funds. All donations go towards outdoor recreation and education opportunities in Jackson County. 


Endowment Fund
The Endowment Fund was created to ensure our mission is continued well into the future. Your gift to the Friends of Jackson County Conservation Endowment Fund is invested and grows forever to support the mission of providing educational and recreational opportunities in our community.

Sustainable Jackson County
Sustainable Jackson County is a committee of Friends of Jackson County Conservation. One of their goals is to encourage individuals and groups to reduce their demand on limited resources such as the petroleum oil that is used to make single use plastics such as plates, cups and straws.

Field trips can get expensive, and Friends can help mitigate the cost of your bus.
