Discover Hurstville Fishing Pond in Maquoketa

The Hurstville Fishing Pond is a 2-acre borrow pit stocked with bluegill, catfish and large mouth bass. The pond is a short distance from the parking lot, via a handicap accessible sidewalk and there is also an accessible dock. Cast your line from the dock or along the bank. And don’t forget a picnic lunch to enjoy in the picnic shelter on site! Shelter is available to rent. 

A Free Fishing Clinic is held at this park each year on the first Saturday of June. Go to Events for more information.
