Event Summary

Make a festive cedar branch wreath to take home at a workshop on Saturday, December at the Hurstville Interpretive Center. Participants will make their own cedar wreaths to take home. All materials will be provided and no wreath making experience is required.

These cedar branches were collected from a local prairie restoration project. Red cedars can take over prairies and are often removed to protect the native prairie species. Wreaths are a fun winter project that utilizes these removed trees and adds a pop of color to every home!

This program is free and open to the public. Registration is required. To register, call (563) 652-3783 or email jrodewald@jacksoncounty.iowa.gov

The Hurstville Interpretive Center is located 1 mile north of Maquoketa on Highway 61.
