Winter Foraging Class

Event Summary

Nuts, needles, and nibbling! Come learn safe foraging techniques, common winter plants to harvest, how to ID them, and suggested recipes to try.

We will meet at the Hurstville Interpretive Center and talk about plants to forage in the winter and how to harvest them and then taste a few recipes made from foraged foods. We will then have an optional hike out at Prairie Creek Recreation Area for anyone who wants to hike and practice plant ID. 

Please dress for the weather as the event will be outside. Cost is $5.
