Hills Access

Anglers will find plenty of river shoreline for fishing and a boat ramp access to the river.  Facilities include: a campground with 19 campsites (14 - 50-amp electrical sites and 5 primitive sites), pit toilets, picnic tables, a playground, grills, fire slabs and drinking water.

Hills Access is a 40-acre park located one-half mile east of Hills on 520th Street along the Iowa River.

Along with the campground, playground, and fishing access, visitors stop by Hills Campground for eagle viewing. Especially in the winter, this site is regularly frequented by bald eagles along the Iowa River.

The boat ramp serves as a popular take-out for paddlers who complete the 9.25-mile route along the Iowa River, starting at the Sturgis Ferry Boat Ramp in Iowa City.
