The shelter is available for use anytime during the camping season between the hours of 8 AM and 10:30 PM. The campground normally opens around April 15th, and closes around October 30th, depending on the weather.
The key to the shelter MUST be picked up during normal business hours from the Nature Center office or a Siems Park Camp Host prior to the reservation.

Consider this policy prior to purchasing a reservation. Please understand at the time of booking your reservation you immediately prohibit other people from reserving and utilizing that facility; therefore, they will go elsewhere to locate a facility for that date. Name of person on the reservation will be the only person who can cancel or reschedule a facility reservation. All cancellations or requests to reschedule date of reservation cannot be done online and must be made by calling and/or emailing the Nature Center Office at least 14 days in advance of the original reservation arrival date. If a rescheduling of a reservation is needed, that rescheduled date must be submitted and approved by the Park Staff at least 2 weeks prior to the original reservation date of arrival. A reservation holder has only ONE opportunity to reschedule their original reservation.
If a facility reservation is cancelled by Kossuth County Conservation Board due to a natural disaster or if by some means the facility is unusable, a full refund will be issued to the person that made the original reservation (processing fees WILL be refunded).
REFUND POLICY
Consider this policy prior to purchasing a reservation. Fees may be refunded if: refund request is received at least 14 days in advance of the original date of reservation (processing fees will not be refunded). If a facility reservation is cancelled by Kossuth County Conservation Board due to a natural disaster, or if by some means the facility is unusable, a FULL refund (including processing fees) will be refunded.
Refunds will be mailed in the form of a check from the Kossuth County Conservation Board along with a letter of explanation and confirmation of cancellation. Refund checks will be mailed out on a monthly basis.
