Humboldt Recreation Center


Overview

The Humboldt Recreation Center is a 70,000 sq ft recreation facility that was funded and built by the Nielsen Family and Sande Construction in 2018 and was donated to the City of Humboldt to own and operate. Thr facility is committed to enriching the local community by providing unparalleled and inclusive educational and recreational program services, and facilities to promote physical, social, and emotional health and wellness. Facilities includes a 200-meter track, 2 wood basketball courts (with volleyball standards), 3 pickleball courts, multiple group fitness rooms (spin room, cardio studio, boxing room), 2 racquetball courts, batting cage, fitness center with cardio and weight equipment, Kids Zone equipped with exergame equipment, sauna, and men's & women's locker rooms. The Humboldt Recreation Center hosts a number of special events each year such as: track meets, basketball tournaments, volleyball tournaments, sports camps, and possibly others. These could affect the hours of operation or availability of the courts, running track, or classrooms.
