Shared Campsite

Wakpicada Natural Area primitive, shared campsite with grass parking area. RV’s and tents allowed. Each site is broken down into 3 sub-sites, A, B, and C that are all available for rent.

This is a grass campsite which can be shared by up to three units. Each camping unit must pay by renting either A, B, or C at each site. 

Horses are allowed.


Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 03:00 PM and check-out is before 11:00 AM.

Location Wakpicada Natural Area, Near the Linn County Fairgrounds in Central City, Iowa.

Hours of Operation & Seasons

Park Hours are from 4 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.  Check-in time is at 3 p.m. on your day of arrival.  Check-out time is at 11 a.m. on your day of departure.
