Rental Contract Agreement

All Parks open at 6:00 am and close at 10:30 pm.

Vehicles may not drive or park on the grass.

Fires must be confined to grills and fire rings. 

Alcohol is not allowed in Discovery Park. Beer, wine, hard ciders, and seltzers are allowed at Saulsbury, Deep Lakes, & Jack Shuger Park. Kegs require special permission. Hard liquor and distilled spirts are prohibited in all locations. A current certificate of liability insurance listing Muscatine County as an additional insured or certificate holder must be received from the rental company to have portable amusement devices and rides including bounce houses.

A special events permit is required for 1) any event with 100 or more people;   2) a wedding and/or wedding reception;  3) any event charging admission or for services regardless of the number of people;   4) any event advertising that it is open to the public.

If you will have any of the following at your event, please contact the Conservation Board: Inflatable Bouncy Toys; Amplified sound; pop-up tents; pinatas; additional grills; generator; or alcohol (Not allowed in Discovery Park).

I hereby agree to release and discharge Muscatine County, its agents, officers, employees, volunteers and insurers from all claims, demands, actions, judgements, and executions. This release includes that I, or the group renting the shelter may have against Muscatine County for all personal injuries, death or property damage that may arise out of the rental and use of Muscatine County's shelters and parks.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule your reservation, you must contact us 15 days in advance of your rental date. Failure to do so will result in 100% forfeiture of your reservation, and you will not be able to reschedule.

Refund Policy

NO REFUNDS - Please understand that at the time of booking your reservation, you immediately prohibit other people from reserving and utilizing this facility.

If you contact us at least 15-days prior to your stay, a promotional code will be issued to use for a future online reservation. You will have one year (12 months) to reschedule using the promotional code issued.
