Event Summary

This camp is for children who have completed 3rd or 4th grades. 

June 16th-17th 9:00AM-3:30PM

In Explorers, Campers learn outdoor skills and experience canoeing basics, fishing, games, hiking, how to read a map and GPS, and much more while exploring McFarland, Peterson, and Hickory Grove Parks!

We will be actively exploring the outdoors so wear clothes that may get wet and dirty. Sturdy shoes that can get wet and dirty are required. Hiking sandals, like Keens, are acceptable. Closed toe shoes are recommended. NO flip flops!  Campers will need to be prepared to swim either day, as it is weather dependent.

No refunds are available for cancellations. If needed, Nature Connect, our service assistance program, provides a discount towards the cost of SCC camping, educational programs, and more. Contact us at 515-232-2516 to discuss.

If you are registering more than one child for this camp, you will only be able to enter detailed information for one child. We will email you a form for the other children’s information.
