Lost Ladybug Project

Event Summary

Be an insect scientist! Hunt ladybugs in the park and contribute to a nationwide citizen science project. We will use nets to search for bugs and cameras to record our finds for the Lost Ladybug Project. Discover why entomologists started an online project to allow ladybug lovers of all backgrounds to help them track the insects. All ages encouraged to participate, but be ready to go off-trail in tall grass. Nets and a limited <v:V:PATH o:connecttype="rect" gradientshapeok="t" o:extrusionok="f"> <o:O:O:O:LOCK v:ext="edit" aspectratio="t"> number of digital cameras will be available for use. Optional:  Participants may wish to download the Lost Ladybug smartphone app to their own phones to record and submit their bugs.
