Join Story County Conservation for a volunteer event at Wicks Wildlife Area, located just north of Story City, to hand harvest prairie seed!

We'll show you what to collect and provide information about the plants around you as you work.  

This family-friendly seed harvest is a great opportunity to learn more about the prairie and lend a helping hand.

No prior plant knowledge or special skills necessary!
