Homeschool: Backyard Birding –1:00-2:30 p.m.

Event Summary

Chickadees, cardinals, and woodpeckers — oh my! We’ll learn how to identify common backyard birds by sight and sound. We’ll explore bird adaptations, practice using binoculars, and discover how to attract feathered friends to your yard. Through games, hands-on activities, and a short hike, young birders will gain the skills and confidence to start their own birdwatching adventures. This free program is intended for families and homeschoolers. Participants should be prepared to go for a short hike.
