Spruce Creek Park, situated on the banks of the Mississippi River, offers a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities. Enjoy boating, fishing, camping and more while enjoying the scenic views of the mighty Mississippi.

This 43-acre park offers a boat marina, modern camping sites, showers and restrooms, a large picnic area, shelters (available for reservation), and playground equipment.

  • 30 campsites are reservable - please click the Facilities tab to make a campsite reservation. Reservations must be made 5 days in advance: if you'd like a site for the upcoming weekend, have your reservation made by Sunday night. Reservations must be made online.

Note: When water levels are high, the creek side and river shore sites are the first to close with water levels at 14' 3" and the park closes at 15'. The docks can handle levels up to 16' before watercraft must be removed.

All OUT OF COUNTY firewood is prohibited, unless clearly marked with the certification of being emerald ash borer free. Please buy it where you burn it to prevent the spread of emerald ash borer.

Operating Hours & Seasons

Campground is open April - October.

Shower building is open April 15 - October 15 (weather pending). 

Park is open to visitors 6:00 AM to 10:30 PM. Campers only after 10:30 PM.

Campground attendants are available May - September.


Camping coupon books are available for purchase at the Hurstville Center year round and from campground hosts during the camping season. Get 7 nights of camping for the price of six; a $119 value for only $99.


Campground is closed November - March.
