Joinerville Park

Joinerville Park is situated along the Maquoketa River in Jackson County.  It is a major recovery point for paddlers that float down the river.  This land was a gift from the Wilbur Siders and Melvin Joiner families.

Joinerville Park is open for day use year-round. A special use permit is required for overnight camping. Campers must provide their own bathroom. Contact the conservation office for details on the special use permit.

Location

Joinerville is four miles west of Maquoketa on Highway 64 and 2 miles north on 123rd Avenue.

  • Camping is allowed by special permit and board approval only. Permits need to be submitted at least one month before arrival. Campers must provide their own restroom facility. A special use permit can be found at the bottom of this page.
