Nature Nerds Camp

Event Summary

Your 5 to 7 year old camper is in for three days of getting nerdy about nature with the Butler County Conservation Board.

Camp will take place at Heery Woods Park - North Side all three days, and all information will be provided with the camp letter sent in May. Details of camp will be provided at a later date, but campers can expect to be outdoors and having a great time in the natural world with other campers their age. 

The cost is $30 per child.

Camp will run from 9:00 to 2:00 daily.

Campers will need to bring a lunch and refillable water bottle each day. Snacks and all other camp materials will be provided. 

Registration is required online only, and space is limited so register early. Camp forms must be downloaded from the camp description page, filled out and returned via e-mail to awittrock@butlercounty.iowa.gov within two weeks of receiving your registration confirmation. 

We will begin taking registrations March 2, 2026.

If you are a paid member of "The Friends of Butler County Conservation," you will receive a code for $5 off registration.

You can register online only. And don't forget to fill out and return those forms.
