Rental Contract Agreement

Campsite Rental Contract Agreement (Facility Contract Rules)

1. All campsites are limited to a maximum of 1 (one) camping unit per site (one family or six people).

     a. One tent for minors (under age 18) is permissible free of charge.

2. The park closes at 10:30 PM. At this time, all non-registered visitors must leave the park, and quiet hours must be observed from 10:30 PM to 6:00 AM

3. Excessive noise of any kind is not allowed.

     a. Music, television, radio, conversation, generators, vehicles or other noise must be kept to a minimum.

4. Camper Check in is 3:00 PM or after. All "non-reservable" campsites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.  People wishing to hold a "non-reservable" camping site may do so by placing a camping unit in that spot, but they must pay immediately for all nights the space is occupied whether they are camping or not. Payment can be made using the instant pay QR codes on the post or by paying cash and placing the envelope in the kiosk box.  The site must be occupied, and all equipment is set up no later 1 hour after arrival.

5. Camper Check out is by 2:00 PM.

6. Pets:

     a. Must be leashed or kenneled within the campsite – leash may not be attached to trees.

     b. Leash must not exceed 6 feet.

     c. Campers must clean up after pets

     d. Are not allowed in Butler CCB buildings (restroom/shower facilities)

     e. Shall not be left unattended

     f. Must be leashed, quiet and always cleaned up after. Park staff reserve the right to remove

          any pet from the campsite should problems arise.

7. Camping is allowed in designated areas only.

8. Maximum stay in the campground is 14 nights – at which time, campers must leave the

     campground for a minimum of 3 nights (72 hours).

9. Each site has one table and one fire ring – please leave these at the campsite and do not move

     them.

10. Fires are permitted in designated areas only.

11. Parks are pack-in and pack-out. Garbage must be taken with you. Do not burn your garbage in the

     fire pits.

12. Park staff have authority to refuse camping privileges and to rescind all camping

     permits for cause. No refunds will be given.

13. All COUNTY PARK RULES and STATE LAWS are enforced.

14. Persons shall not remove, destroy or injure any animal, tree, shrub or flower in the park.

15. Firewood is available free on holiday weekends and wood may not be gathered from the park

     and trees may not be cut down or cut up in the park for firewood. The cutting of trees – dead or

     alive – is absolutely prohibited under any circumstance

16. Smoking is prohibited in any Butler CCB building/structure

17. Fireworks are prohibited in all Butler CCB parks and campgrounds. Failure to comply with any of

     these rules could result in verbal warnings and possible removal from park grounds by park staff.

Camping Reservation Contract:

By your agreement with these terms and conditions, you represent that you are 21 years or older, you will be present during your stay, and you are authorized to make the reservation on behalf of the camping party you have listed. You further agree to assume full responsibility for the acts, negligence, or omission of your group members while utilizing said facilities. 

Additionally, you agree that you have read and understand the CANCELLATION and REFUND POLICIES concerning this reservation, and that you have also read and understand the FACILITY CONTRACT RULES information.  

FEES

Online reservations can be made up to 1 year in advance. NO REFUNDS for cancellations will be given.  On-line reservations are $25 per night per campsite plus a $4 processing fee added at checkout. Reservations must be made at least 7 days in advance.  There is a two-night minimum for weekend reservations online.  If a reservable site is not reserved, it will be available on a first-come, first-served basis (online only/no cash).

CLOSURES

“Off – season”: The campground may be opened prior to May 1 and remain open past October 15 pending favorable weather and ground conditions. Water and modern restrooms/shower facilities may be closed to prevent freezing even though the campground may remain open. Online reservations will not be taken for the “off-season” period, campers will need to utilize the on-site self-registration system and pay the required fee.

Cancellation Policy

Campsite reservations are non-refundable. 

If cancellation occurs, reservation will be considered a donation to the Butler County Conservation Board. Please call the Butler CCB office at 319-346-6551 Monday through Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM to cancel. Should you decide to CANCEL your reservation, there are NO REFUNDS. However, if you contact the Butler CCB office at least 15 days before your reservation, you will be provided with a promotional code to use for a future online reservation within the camping season of the original reservation (limited to one time). If you contact us less than 15 days before your reservation, you will forfeit 100% of your reservation and will not be allowed to reschedule.

NO REFUND: Please understand that at the time of booking your reservation, you immediately prohibit other people from reserving and utilizing this facility – they therefore go elsewhere to locate a campsite for that date.               

Youth Group Rules

Refund Policy

NO REFUNDS for cancellations will be given.  

However, if you contact the Butler CCB office at least 15 days before your reservation, you will be provided a promotional code to use for a future online reservation within the camping season of the original reservation (limited to one time within the same campground). If you contact us less than 15 days before your reservation, you will forfeit 100% of your reservation and will not be allowed to reschedule.               

At this time, the only situations that may allow for a refund are as follows:

     1. The National Weather Service has issued severe weather conditions and advised against travel

     2. Butler CCB is unable to provide your campsite in operable condition for the date(s) of your
