Located 6.6 miles west of Spencer on County road B24, turn north on 145th Ave for .5 mile.


Scharnberg Park has a 15 acre pond stocked yearly and has bass, bluegill and channel catfish and participates in the Urban Trout Stocking program which stocks 1500 Rainbow trout each time in October-November and January-February each year.  Access to the pond is made easier by a handicap accessible fishing pier as well as two 50 foot rock jetty's.  It also has 3 concrete tornado shelters for your protection.  A campground that will hold 62 campers provides cable TV as well as wireless internet, all included in the camping fees. Of these 62 sites, 20 are full hookup with sewer.  If you don't own a camper, we've got three camping cabins available for rent year around.  There are also 5 primitive tent sites.  From horseshoes, to fishing, paddle boats and canoe rentals, a concessions stand and a beautiful beach to swim at, Scharnberg park has something to offer everyone.

Cabins are available for rent year around, campground opens May 1st. to October 15th. weather permitting.
