·         You can set up your account at any time on Mycountyparks.com

·         For the 2020 season you will be able to reserve a campsite for Scharnberg Park!  We will have half of our total sites available to reserve.

·         We will have a 3 day minimum for our reserved campsites except for the following holidays:  Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day and our annual Halloween Hike weekend.  The minimum for the holidays will be a 5 day stay.   

·         Check-in time for your park stay is 3:00 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. when the park closes for the day.

·         Checkout is 1:00 p.m. 

·         You will be able to reserve your sites starting May 1, 2020!

45 acre park with 62 campsites, 3 cabins, 5 primitive tent sites, 15 acre pond, hiking trail, fishing, beach concessions, paddle boat, canoe, kayak and paddle board rentals.

Location

Located 6.6 miles west of Spencer on County road B24, turn north on 145th Avenue for .5 mile.

Features

Scharnberg Park has a 15 acre pond stocked yearly and has bass, bluegill and channel catfish and participates in the Urban Trout Stocking program which stocks 1,500 Rainbow trout in October or November and January or February of each year.  Access to the pond is made easier by a handicap accessible fishing pier as well as two 50 foot rock jetties.  It also has 3 concrete tornado shelters for your protection.  Included in the camping fees is access to cable TV as well as wireless internet.  The campground will hold 6?1 campers.  Of these 61 sites, 20 are full hookup with sewer.  If you don't own a camper, we have three cabins available for rent year around.  There are also 5 primitive tent sites.  From horseshoes, hiking, fishing, paddle boats and canoe rentals, a concessions stand and a beautiful beach to swim at, Scharnberg park has something to offer everyone.
