Little Cedar Wildlife Area is located a few miles northeast of Charles City and features a diverse mix of woodland, native prairie, evergreen windbreaks, and river habitat along the Little Cedar River. Visitors can explore the area on foot, observe wildlife signs such as deer rubs and scrapes, and enjoy the changing scenery throughout the year. Native prairie areas are managed with prescribed burns conducted in sections to maintain healthy plant growth while preserving food and cover for wildlife.
