    Rental Contract Agreement

    • Reservations must be made 5 days prior to date.
    • The person responsible for the rental must be at least 21 years of age.
    • A damage deposit of $100 is due one week after your reservation is made. The deposit must be mailed to Floyd County Conservation P.O. Box 495 Rockford Iowa 50468. The deposit will be shredded if there are not issues with damages, clean up, late departure, and other rules & regulations are followed.
    • Check in time: 8 a.m.
    • Check out time: 10:30 p.m.
    • Renter will choose a 4 digit key code upon online reservation check-out.
    • Maximum number of occupants is 50 people.
    • Maximum length of stay is 14 consecutive nights.
    • Renters are responsible for fully cleaning the lodge before check-out
    • Non-registered guests must leave by 10:30 p.m.
    • Quiet hours are from 10:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.
    • No pets allowed in lodge.
    • No smoking allowed in lodge.
    • All trash must be placed outside or taken with you.
    • Lodge furniture must stay in the lodge.
    • RV’s, pop-ups, 5th wheels and tents must use regular campground sites.
    • Temporary free-standing signs are allowed. Signs are not to be attached to furniture, sign posts, kiosks, or facilities.

    • Large groups over 50 individuals, will be charged a $5 per person per day fee. Fee is payable at Departure time.
    • All rules and regulations of the Floyd County Conservation Board are in effect. Failure to abide by rules may result in expulsion and forfeiture of all rental fees.
    • Floyd County Conservation Board reserves to right to enter the lodge in cases of maintenance and security issues.

    Cancellation Policy

    If you need to cancel a reservation, you will forfeit 100% of all reservation fees paid. All cancellations must be made by calling the Floyd County Conservation office at 641-756-3490

    Refund Policy

    All reservations with Floyd County Conservation facilities are final. Reservations are non-refundable, unless the following situations occur:
    o Accident, serious injury, death in immediate family
    o The National Weather Service has issued severe weather and/or travel conditions.
    o We are unable to provide your facility in operable condition for the date of your event.
    o Military deployment

    All requests for refunds must be made by calling the Floyd County Conservation office at 641-756-3490.

    The Leopold Lodge is named after the "Father of Conservation", Aldo Leopold. Leopold is the author of "Sand County Alamanc". Among his best-known ideas is the “land ethic,” which calls for an ethical, caring relationship between people and nature.

    Leopold Lodge is a 40'x28' building with electricity containing 6 tables & benches, wood burning stove, and stainless-steel countertop.

    A great location to host a birthday party, bridal shower, family reunion or other gathering. 

    Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 08:00 AM and check-out is before 10:30 PM.

    Leopold Lodge is located along the east side of the central open area. 

    It is a short distance away from the Recreation Center, playgrounds and restroom/shower facilities. Centrally located to for hiking along any of the trails.

    Fees

    Rental Fee are $50 per day.

    A damage deposit of $100 is due one week after making a reservation.  Checks can be made out to the "Floyd County Treasurer" and mailed to Floyd County Conservation P.O. Box 495 Rockford Iowa 50468.
