The Leopold Lodge is named after the "Father of Conservation", Aldo Leopold. Leopold is the author of "Sand County Alamanc". Among his best-known ideas is the “land ethic,” which calls for an ethical, caring relationship between people and nature.

Leopold Lodge is a 40'x28' building with electricity containing 6 tables & benches, wood burning stove, and stainless-steel countertop.

A great location to host a birthday party, bridal shower, family reunion or other gathering. 


Leopold Lodge is located along the east side of the central open area. 

It is a short distance away from the Recreation Center, playgrounds and restroom/shower facilities. Centrally located to for hiking along any of the trails. 


A great facility for family reunions, birthday parties, etc. 

Large open room with tables and benches. 

Stainless steel countertop along south end along with a wood burning stove.

Rental Fee are $50 per day.

A $100 damage deposit is due two weeks prior to reservation.  Deposit must be mailed to Floyd County Conservation, P.O. Box 495, Rockford Iowa 50468

Facility may be closed during the winter months depending on snow accumulations affecting access.
