Wentland Woods located north of Charles City on Quail Avenue provides an array of activities for outdoor enthusiasts. This area is a popular destination for deer and turkey hunters but also has many opportunities beyond hunting. There is a trail system that allows for hikes of all lengths. This is a great area where birdwatching is prime and also offers viewing of many spring wildflowers. Mature maples, oaks and hickories are also located in the area providing for a more diverse wildlife habitat desirable for hunting seasons.
