Junior Naturalist Program

Event Summary

This program is for kids (4-16) and can help connect kids to nature by interacting with the natural resources in some way. We will talk about the Mammals of Iowa and look at mammal skins, skulls, and track casts. We will walk the park and discuss the parks history afterwards and end with a sack lunch. Come and learn how to earn your Junior Naturalist Patch and Certificate. The Junior Naturalist Program is supported by  the Iowa County Conservation Board System and the Iowa State Parks. Parents are required to stay with their children at this program with the Naturalist. Bring a sack lunch to have a picnic lunch afterwards with the group.
