Intro to Print Making
MAY 06 2026 4:00 PM
Event Summary
This intro course is for beginner linocut print makers who want the basics: tools, techniques, printing process etc. We'll start with a presentation on these basics, then spend most of the time helping participants through the process, from drawing a design to carving. Finished blocks will be able to be printed in class for participants to take home.
The $25 fee covers a beginner carving set and a Ready Carve block that we'll work on in the class. Both are for participants to take home at the end of the class. Please note: We cannot offer refunds. If you need to cancel, you can schedule a time to pick up these tools.
This class is for adult participants only.
We take photos during our public events. If you do not wish to be in any photos, please send an advance email to the contact listed.
Registration automatically closes one day in advance. If you are fully registered, you can expect to receive an email "receipt" from MyCountyParks after registration. You will also receive an email from the leading naturalist a couple days in advance of the program. If you do not receive these emails, you may not be registered; call 319-645-1011 for assistance in this case. **Please note, our pre emails have regularly been sorted into spam/junk mail recently. Check these folders for the pre email.**
