Event Summary

The Buena Vista County Conservation Board and The Sanford Museum are partnering to offer Winter Astronomy Night.  Spend an evening under the moon and stars.

The night will begin by identifying the constellations, followed by using telescopes to observe the moon and planets.  

The program will be held at Buena Vista County Conservation Park in the South Shelter Area on Friday, January 20th at 7:00 PM. Refreshments are provided. Feel free to bring a blanket to wrap up in and chairs to view the stars, if there is little to no snow cover.

Reservations are required for this program. If you plan on attending, please register by Wednesday, January 18th at 4:00 PM by calling the conservation office at 712-295-7985.  

Buena Vista County Conservation Park is located at 377 440th Street Peterson, IA 51047.  

This program may be cancelled due to inclement weather.
