Pioneer Ridge Nature Center


Overview

Pioneer Ridge Nature Center is the headquarters of the Wapello County Conservation Board. It has interpretive displays, live animals, a reading area, reference materials and much more.

Wapello County Conservation is located in southeast Iowa and is home to the Pioneer Ridge Nature Area & Center. The Wapello CCB collectively manages 12 parks and natural areas - encompassing over 2000 acres - throughout the county. In combination, these areas provide extremely diverse habitats providing residents with a wide range of outdoor recreational activities.
