MAY 12 2012 1:00 PM
Event Summary
- What plants are considered an alien and invasive species?
- What is the big deal with invasive vegetation species?
- How do you combat these noxious alien invaders?
These questions will be answered by John Laird, Hamilton County Conservation Naturalist.
We will have a Garlic Mustard pull following the presentation in Briggs Woods Park.
We will be bagging up the garlic mustard along one of the hiking trails and hauling it out of the woods with conservation equipment.
Dress appropriately for being in the woods and weeds.
Please bring: gloves, bug spray, sun screen, water, and a hat.
Everyone is welcome to attend and you may call the office at 515-832-9570 or email us at hccblaird@wmtel.net to reserve a spot.
Free will donations will be taken to support the Naturalist program.
