Cedar Amateur Astronomers Program - Exploring Mars, on Earth October 13, Saturday, 7:30p.m. at EIOLC               
Dr. Ingrid Peate, of the University of Iowa, presents a program on study of Mars.  Until we are able to land scientists on Mars to study its history directly, we have to make-do with finding similar environments here on Earth. High-altitude lakes at the top of the Andes volcanoes in Chile give us insight into what early Mars may have been like and a window into life in extreme environments.  Advanced Registration: Not required/show up. Cost: Free.
