Adams County Conservation is located in southwest Iowa and is home to the Lake Icaria Recreation Area. In addition, the Adams CCB manages five areas encompassing 2,151 acres of parks, wildlife areas and recreation areas. Lake Icaria is near Corning, IA and has 1945 acres along with a 650-acre lake.
It is approximately 80 miles southwest of Des Moines, Iowa and 80 miles southeast of Omaha Nebraska. The people of Adams County invite you to visit the park and spend a weekend enjoying the many activities available. Fishing for large mouth bass, walleye, bluegill, crappie, and channel catfish can be both fun and challenging. Boat in our 1 1/4 mile ski zone with outboards and inboard-outboards only. The marina offers pontoon and paddleboat rentals, fuel, fishing tackle and bait and many other sales and services. Enjoy over 6 miles of nature trails across bridges and stairs. Swim off our 300 foot sandy beach. Enjoy concessions, restrooms, shelters, playground and volleyball court while at the beach.Camping and picnicking opportunities abound throughout the park with both the Timber Ridge and Lake View Campgrounds. 14 log-style cabins are available for rent to provide the camping experience in which you do not need to pull a unit or pitch a tent.All of this is just 4 miles north of Corning, Iowa.
