Welcome to Harrison County located in the beautiful Loess Hills of western Iowa! Harrison County Conservation has 17 areas with over 1,800 acres - located in western Iowa along the Missouri River in the Loess Hills region. Our mission is to manage, protect, conserve and develop Harrison County's natural resources in a manner that the quality of life for Harrison County residents is significantly enhanced by the utilization and enjoyment of those resources.
Major recreation areas in Harrison County include Willow Lake Recreation Area and Schaben Park with campsites, playgrounds and shelter houses. Willow Lake Recreation Area also offers five cabins of various sizes for a more luxurious camping experience. Contact the Harrison CCB for additional information.
