Scharnberg Park features three modern cabins that are available to rent year round all with a great view of the pond.  All 3 cabins have wireless internet available, cable TV & heating & A/C for year around use.  .

Camping Camping at Scharnberg Park
Scharnberg Park is a multi use park featuring a campground with 61 sites, 21 of which are full hookup with sewer, cable TV, electricity and water and the other 40 all have water, electricity, cable TV and wireless internet. The park features a 15 acre pond that is stocked yearly with trout and contains a healthy population of Bass, bluegill and channel catfish.  With 2 rock fishing jetties and 1 handicap accessible fishing pier, accessibility to the pond is excellent.  In November and January we stock 1500 Rainbow Trout each time through the Urban Trout Stocking program put on by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.  With a playground, a beach, concession stand, paddle boats and canoes, it makes this a family destination.  In addition to these amenities, we have 3 cabins that are available all year around for rent.  We also have a shelter available to rent for a small gathering.  Contact us today for your family fun!!!

The Oneota campus has a large rolling prairie bordered by the Little Sioux River and bottom ground timber with mowed trails. A hike in the vibrant prairie is an amazing area to get scenic pictures of the always changing fall colors along the tree line.

There are fishing opportunities in Oneota Park along the Little Sioux River.  Anglers may walk from the Oneota Cabin parking area to the south to the river to do some fishing!

Fish year-round at the Park!  The15 acre pond has bass, bluegill and channel catfish.  The pond is stocked yearly by the Urban Trout Stocking program which stocks 1,500 Rainbow trout in October or November and January or February of each year. With 2 rock fishing jetties and 1 handicap accessible fishing pier, accessibility to the pond is excellent.

Scharnberg Park offers several picnic areas and one open air shelter including grills.  These are available on a first come, first serve basis. Nearby features include a large playground, trail, modern bathroom facilities, beach and concession stand. There is also plenty of room to toss down a blanket and enjoy a picnic!

Swimming is allowed in the roped-off area of the beach only.  No life guard is available
